There are TB-specific antibiotics, but multidrug-resistant TB is a huge problem (M.t has a very thick cell wall and replicates very slowly so it takes ages to absorb a lethal dose of the antibiotics: "finish the course" can mean 2-6 months, and a lot of patients give up partway through when they feel better—which selects for antibiotic resistant strains).
