I dig films like CARNIVAL OF SOULS and TEENAGERS FROM OUTER SPACE, where you get wooden acting and heartfelt emotion in combination and it's kind of magical. I think the late great David Lynch is one director who picked up on that and somehow managed to do it intentionally. Guy Maddin, too, but in a different flavor.",
