I subscribe to Casey Newton’s newsletter for my sins, and I’m disappointed that he takes it as given that AGI will be a thing at all. But I suppose he’s a good bellwether of where “the vibe” is at on this stuff so I’m going to have to read that ridiculous Anthropic manifesto now, aren’t I.
