I would need to see data on that before I could accept it. I my experience, the repression that courses through contemporary churches and congregations doesn't actually curb sexual encounters and deviancy, but relegates them to the shadows. Some of the most deviant people I've known have also been the most pious. And given the general discouragement by the churches regarding condoms and birth control, it wouldn't surprise me if these congregations were actually hot-beds of disease transmission and unwanted pregnancy. I pretty much all areas of life, I have seen that repression and suppression doesn't curb behavior, but just keeps that activity quiet while inflicting the consequences that come with repression of normal human urges.
