NAS costs about 4k a year to run for ISP, Electric, and media storage. (This excludes one-time costs like the ~4k I recently spent on additional hardware).
My goal is to raise $4,000 so that I'm not paying out of pocket each month when bills are due.
I'm confident I could raise that over a year's time if I linked a PayPal or whatever, but, rationally or not, that doesn't sit well with me.
