A friend and I went searching for baby red- capped plovers today. We got rained on, the wind was howling and my camera simply would not believe that they were actually birds and I wanted it to focus on them. We were also super wary of disturbing them so stayed well back. So I have no great shots BUT it was still a thoroughly magical experience 😍 There are so few beaches in cities were shore-birds are able to successfully breed, I feel very privileged to have spent some time with these little cuties. I've deliberately left this one as 'small in frame" to show how titchy and fragile they really are. #birds #birdphotography
