I am still :ablobcatsweatsip: ing (npub1y6t…9wl9) Pawlicker 🔧 (npub1j4p…z0qp) I've played with the native Android and Linux integration they added. It works, but on most Chromebooks the emulation/integration chews up too much hardware resources on top of ChromeOS.
In theory you could get a powerful enough Chromebook to have great web browsing, plus Android/mobile gaming, plus a basic Linux dev environment. I actually got all that working on one, and THAT sucked so badly I gave up on it. You're better off just getting a cheap Thinkpad and installing Linux.
