Quick true story, with an inbed signal:
Just converted the last of my Shitcoins on coinbase to BTC. Attempted to withdraw the BTC to self custody. CB says "Bitcoin withdrawals will be delayed. Trading is unaffected, and your funds are safe."
I thought "BS. No way they halt withdrawals" and I simply closed out the message, restarted the same withdrawal process, and it went through with no weak-ass attempt to dissuade me from taking self custody.
They are desperate, and making pathetic attempts to delay the inevitable truth about their fiat house of cards. Exactly what central banks and fiat manipulators are doing at a scale degrees of magnitude higher.
