Remember applying for a job, getting hired, being really excited, then getting bummed out that you had to show up? The new job was going to solve all these problems but also created others. The issue is not that there would be things they didn’t like. The problem is they weren’t emotionally prepared to deal with the unmet expectations they didn’t know they had. They’ve been dreaming so long and weren’t prepared for reality.
