There was a fun, towering riot of aspen, brushwillow, and teasel on the wetland trail this morning. There were also a wonderful (of quieter) riot of birds (not pictured here): dowitchers, mallards, yellow-legs, snowy egrets, white-crowned sparrows, and goldfinches, plus an ibis (!!), and a kingfisher. It felt so good to be able to breathe the air and see the young fall colors.
