I've started down a research path for a new Spooky Geology blog post on fictional magical metals and stones. There is NO WAY I can be comprehensive. There are too many. So I'm going to have to pick about a dozen to explore.
Magical natural objects like this are common tropes and "MacGuffins" for TV, film, fantasy, sci-fi, superheroes, etc.
