Nostr, as a public square with local interfaces fits well with the adage "the internet never forgets". We could forget tweets or grams sometimes because scraping those sites is made actively hard, while such open protocols work by scraping in their core. Good that it finally came, we all have terrabytes of unused space in our HDs at this point, our computers can handle saving our feeds no problem.
