It's also performant and allows for filesystem expansion by adding more disks.
By using tools like sanoid you can automate snapshots, I have mine running as an hourly cronjob, and there is also ZFS Boot Menu (ZBM) which allows you to boot the snapshots from a friendly menu.
I have all my hosts running on ZFS, don't see the need for anything else
