The premise:
Have all voting be publicly confirmed and remain private
* Government keeps a list of eligible ballots and eligible voters’ signatures
* Eligible voters have a private key/public key pair and can cryptographically sign their ballot
* Published election result reports can show every cryptographically signed ballot received, where a) government confirms these are a subset of the pre-election set; b) the signatures came from eligible voters, and; c) voters can privately see for themselves their ballot was received and was included in the count for their chosen candidates
You do realise some states publish lists of names and addresses of who voted—whose business is it to know?
