I am listening to Naomi Klein’s book ‘Doppleganger’ and I have to say there’s one thing the left refuses to accept or address imo… she agrees with Eickenberg that the failure of progressive policies is they (politicians) never went far enough. Unfortunately what she fails to acknowledge is the racist backlash that always follows a progressive move left. There were many wonderful public programs that were embraced & cherished by all that have since been attacked by the right and center left - /1
