I think domain as identifier can provide that status here if someone wants it. Funny jack (npub1sg6…f63m) doesn’t use one at all, and davidmarcus (npub18m4…cl2x) users nostr plebs. Can’t hate on being with the plebs. Wish they did because when we start to onboard notable people like Kennedy, they probably should be advised to use this as part of their onboarding.
Twitter got carried away, and domains scale appropriately, one user recognized me from my SoundCloud days and they can verify it’s really me, don’t need blue checks for sub genres. Maybe we need to allow for multiple domains, so if you have done something notable in a different realm you could verify that.
