Dear Brian, I have, in my capacity as a professional auditor, received write access numerous times after explicitly requesting read-only access. Some systems are such that there is no delineation. Other times it was human error. And others, like the tax processor (I thoroughly wrecked), gave up prod write access through their ineptitude.
