As I wrote a few weeks ago, #Russia won’t be interested in freezing the conflict - today this was explicitly said by Naryshkin, head of SVR: “Neither a Korean variant, nor any other”. This is logical, because any ceasefire without removal of sanctions means economical suicide for Russia as a matter of a few years. Of course, Putin’s very decision of 24 February 2022 was already suicidal strategically but he’s opportunist - his thinking is if you’ve already gotten into an adventure, push forward and see what comes out. And that’s what he’s likely going to do - push forward until a complete collapse of Russian economy and military. At this point long-term peace in #Ukraine and the rest of the world largely depends on our resolute - keep supporting Ukraine in its defense efforts, keep sanctions and you’ll see that with the collapse of Putin majority of world’s terrorism will be also magically gone.
