He's taking about the Soap Opera that is the US Elections. Here we have the most powerful and 'most' democratic of nations on earth going to the polls but instead of both sides (and supporters) acting like adults or the candidates with their parties (also) acting like one, we have chaos and entertainment of the highest order.
