Wow, I am really floored at how many of my covid-cautious mutuals here on Mastodon have or recently had covid, or have family or household members who have or recently had it. 😬

One-way masking is just no match against highly transmissible variants and no public or institutional mitigations. 😠

I am feeling very discouraged about the upcoming school year, which will again start without updated vaccines, and having to again ask my family members to be lone maskers in school. 😪
