I feel we need better and simpler promises on the side of NIP-01.

- Distribution: The initially proposed “canonical relay” was dropped. We decided contra blastr and pro client relay. That increases client complexity and makes things unpredictable. Less people dare to implement their own client.
- Archiving: Will I be able to restore my notes from only the relays? I probably should run my own. Probably my client should archive them locally as well (I don’t think/see that Damus does this).
- Security: I’m hesitant to enter my nsec anywhere. The current approaches (nsecbunker) are conceptually too complex. I’d prefer if NIP-01 contained a simple key migration path (e.g. a canary approach paired with a relatively timed heartbeat).

The main strength of nostr is the simplicity of its design. Let’s focus on Vitor Pamplona (npub1gcx…nj5z) ‘s NIP-01 rewrite for example. Otherwise we’re going to build the Tower of Babel with the other stuff.
