I've been using #NetBSD 10 on a laptop for several weeks now. I observed that #emacs seemed pretty slow to start. I know the editor does quite a lot of file IO on startup so I suspected something odd with #disk #IO on #NetBSD and ran a benchmark.
The results are quite surprising. Hopefully someone competent with NetBSD reads this and can advise. Please have read:
