The fruit of both varieties ripen to a bright orange-red color. Making them a bright decorative item for florist use in fall.

Because the fruit mature at different times, a full stem will have both ripe and unripe fruit when harvested

My goal will thus have bright red and white fruit at that stage.

If harvested earlier, all the fruit will still be white. This will visually be reminiscent of the white pumpkins that are popular for decorative uses.
