Inaction? I was at City Hall on Tuesday. I'm attending a DSA meeting on Saturday. I've already been tabling and will be canvassing for a local issue very soon-- plus volunteering in community gardens, and working in mental health care.
You want me to name one candidate so you can drag me back into that familiar establishment frame where all of your arguments (and prepared contempt and mockery) are built to work, and you're getting frustrated when I refuse to be led back in there. If you can't even see outside the hegemonic box, you won't ever be able to escape it. You're currently dedicated to strengthening its walls.
I'm an anarchist, I believe electoralism itself is so prone to corruption NO candidate can actually save us and a fundamental change of the ENTIRE system from the ground up (starting with the end of capitalism) is our only hope in the face of these horrifying global waves of fascism and catastrophe.
But if you really can't or won't engage with any part of that bigger picture, fine. I'm still wishing Cornel West and Jill Stein had run on the same ticket and trying to make up my mind between them. Go ahead and laugh, not sure what good that does anyone though.
