#WordWeavers 10.17 — What's your greatest writing-related fear?

I burnt out for 14 years—despite all my output—because I wasn't able to get my work read. That ended when I discovered fan fiction, as it seems so many of my fellow commercial writers have. Now that I am writing SF again with the goal of commercial publication, the debilitating fear of languishing in oblivion once more raises its ugly head. I suspect I will continue write both free-to-read, for the comforting page views, and self-pub until I interest a new agent in my work. Until then, I will do my best to ignore the darkness in my peripheral vision that always chases me.
