never had that issue w/a Geo Forman Grill - I have two originals. I've seen the one's they make nowadays (they fuckin' suck donkey dicks).
The originals were total qual, and fun to cook on, easy to clean but you did have to make sure you didn't submerge them.
the non-stick aspect? I dunno. If something sticks then it isn't non-stick, the implication being that it's a shit product.
If this is truly a recurring prob, I recommend going back to iron skillets - can't be beat!
