I always talk about abolishing the US Senate, but maybe it'd make more sense to keep two chambers, where one chamber is run by people directly elected from their districts with a ranked choice vote, and another chamber where they're elected with proportional representation? ​ That way you could offset each other's election season so the entire legislature can't change all at once, and you could still have your own district directly represented in the legislature.
