OK, a new magic item for AD&D 1st edition (for old-schoolers like me!):
Name: Ring of Elemental Harmony
Description:
The Ring of Elemental Harmony is a finely crafted band of silver adorned with intricate engravings depicting the four classical elements: earth, air, fire, and water. Each element is represented by a delicate gemstone set into the ring – a ruby for fire, a sapphire for water, an emerald for earth, and a diamond for air. When worn, the ring emits a subtle, pulsating energy, resonating with the elemental forces it embodies.
Properties:
Elemental Resistance: While wearing the Ring of Elemental Harmony, you gain resistance to one type of elemental damage of your choice: fire, cold, acid, or lightning. The type of resistance granted by the ring cannot be changed.
Elemental Servant: Once per day, the wearer can use an action to summon a minor elemental servant aligned with one of the four elements represented by the ring. The servant remains for up to 1 hour, following the wearer's commands to the best of its ability. The type of elemental servant summoned depends on the gemstone activated:
Ruby (Fire): A small fire elemental.
Sapphire (Water): A small water elemental.
Emerald (Earth): A small earth elemental.
Diamond (Air): A small air elemental.
Elemental Burst: As an action, the wearer can activate all four gemstones simultaneously, channeling the elemental energies within them to create a powerful burst of elemental magic. Choose a point within 30 feet of the wearer. Each creature within a 20-foot radius sphere centered on that point must make a saving throw based on the type of elemental damage chosen: Dexterity for fire, Constitution for cold, Strength for acid, or Dexterity for lightning. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d6 damage of the chosen type, or half as much on a successful one.
Activation:
The Ring of Elemental Harmony does not require attunement and can be worn by any creature capable of wearing rings.
