the idea of reverse-engineering malware is so mysterious to me. like, I try to understand software with the help of everyone involved, lots of documentation, and tools that are getting to work with a bunch of good faith inputs, sometimes software that *I wrote*, and I can barely manage it half the time. and you're telling me that there are people who look at some code that somebody else *doesn't* want them to understand and they figure it out somehow? I know it's real but I can barely believe it
