So they did the same things as were recommended for covid, but:
1) they didn’t have sociopathic politicians and death cults undermining the public health messaging/disease risk mitigations (not “lockdowns” or other emotive and false qualifiers),
2) they didn’t have convoys of morons spreading the disease while undermining the transmission mitigations,
3) they didn’t have sociopathic news spreading disinformation.
Unsurprising that chains lacking weak links don’t snap so easily.
