I increasingly feel like I have two jobs at work: the actual work on the project we own, that we carefully planned, and that we keep putting off because there is never enough time for it, and the bullshit tasks that our management drops on us by surprise with short deadlines and no planning, which take most of the time and energy. Sometimes I feel like I should take PTO just to have time to do the first job.
