I’ve come to a hard realization recently.
One of the reasons why I am so obsessed with the problems and the failures of the current world, is because I avoid some of the problems and failures of my past.
And while Bitcoin is a solution to many of the problems of the current world, it cannot fix past failures which still haunt me, or personal shortcomings which I want to resolve.
I’m going to be a better family member, a better listener, a better lover, a better friend, and a better member of my community. I’m going to make peace with hard times I’ve been through, like failures in relationships, in school, and in friendships.
Forgiveness is a powerful thing. Forgiving ourselves, forgiving others. I will spend more time forgiving for past mistakes and poor decisions, and understanding that they are lessons to learn from, rather than wounds which can never heal. Holding on to resentment, regret, shame, anger, and jealousy gets us nowhere.
I am going to spend more time making peace.
