The obvious caveat is that NEL has had a bunch of cost blowouts. Similar may yet happen with SRL.
I’d also note that SRL is not a perfect project by any means. Very long gaps (missed urban renewal opportunities) between stations at the southern end is one example. The interchanges/exits are also likely to be convoluted.
They should look at refining the design.
