Yes, you have at least 3 pencils 😆 . Get the most extreme soft pencil and use it on your pupils, light doesn't generally appear to escape from your eyes so you want it as black as your soul Dawn 😂.
Once you have that bit super dark you will likely start to mentally adjust the dark elsewhere and it will start to pop out more. Only problem is the soft pencil can smudge easily. You can carefully use hairspray as a fixative (though it best done at the end really), lay paper over it or turn it round to avoid smudging. Also you can just use the rubber at the end to add some highlights and clean it up those putty rubbers can be good to pick up specific areas of graphite or you can sharpen a normal one.
