Gotta say, the Labour Party coming out as explicitly supportive of JK Rowling and her transphobic views is really straining my resolve to vote tactically in my marginal seat. FFS Labour, you’re not going to win more votes that way, they already hate you, they’ll vote Con or Reform, what are you doing
Edit: specifically, Scottish LP courting JKR & Starmer weaselling.
They’re responding to JKR’s piece in the Times, so maybe hoping for a stronger statement on trans rights is wishful thinking. 😩
