Many years ago, I had a friend who gave me a nickname that made me feel like I was the center of our sphere. It never failed to brighten my day whenever I heard it. As things go sometimes, eventually lives changed, and our friendship faded out. It's been another many years since we last spoke, but not a day goes by that it doesn't cross my mind. On my bad days, I wish I could hear it at the start of some conversation. On my good days, I often think about the why/how such a nickname was chosen and I actively try to embody those characteristics. Such a simple thing but yet so profound.

Maybe there's a lesson in there. Maybe not. Maybe I'm just having a slow & contemplative day. 😊
