Yes, of course. We have the following task item before including an app: "The original app author has been notified (and does not oppose the inclusion)."

It does not make sense for us to include an app, when the developer is against it. Often we rely on changes made by them to be able to include an app properly. That would only lead to angry developers and more work for us.
