I actually think the opposite is true: humans thrive in very large, mixed groups. put eight humans together on a deserted island for a year and they will eat each other. we **need** social variety, we need to get the fuck away from our nuclear families, we need to get lost in crowds, we need to stand in rooms with 500 strangers all singing the same song.
