Deplorable Degenerate (npub1ftw…8s4y) some days into the siege, David managed to negotiate terms of surrender with the feds. They took him to jail with some of his radical followers. This in turn, radicalized the ones who were left. A movement to free David Koresh was started, they managed to get support from various Libertarian groups, militias and anyone who hates the ATF. With suspicions already spreading with the incident at Ruby Ridge, the movement gained traction. With that much fame, David is convinced that he's indeed a prophet sent by God to punish the unworthy. Imagine if George Floyd was alive and he snorted enough meth to think that he's God's chosen prophet.
Koresh's church would spread quickly and with enough pressure, the goverment may released him.
