This is me just feeling helpless about it all. It used to be there was at least an unspoken agreement that helping others was something good. That the young and weak should be protected. That society was working because people worked together. That laws work.
And I feel that all that is being questioned right now. That society at large is unlearning all the principles that make up civilization. That we are slipping into barbarism in a way I never thought possible.
