The original rationale for the Corporation was to allow Mozilla to take payola from DataFarmers at arm's length, while the Foundation looking for sustainable, ethical funding sources. But it seems like the leadership started drinking the SillyCon Valley Kool-Aid and completely forgot about that goal.
To fix FireFox, the software freedom community needs to find an ethical source of funding for a libre browser. Then either retake the Foundation, or do a hard fork a la LibreOffice.
