Something I’ve thought about a lot over the past near-decade is Trump could’ve just kept on being a lying, grifting con artist — perhaps the greatest this country has ever produced which really is saying something — who most folks would’ve just kept rolling their eyes at if he’d simply never run for president.
I even think he would’ve been happier.
