In Ireland we have seen anti immigration encampments, vans ramming gates of government, riots. The UK is seeing riots, and the US is plunging into partisan elections. Extremist politics is global. And all of it driven by ideological online disinformation.
But governments do nothing. Instead they install the data centres and welcome the platforms.
They are each of them undercutting their legitimacy by allowing this carry on while we increasingly see online speech become real world action
