Characters there are good indeed.
Their interactions makes it even better.
As a non-professional hobby guitar player I was amazed looking at the scene where they were performing at the school.
The moment when the string on MC's guitar suddenly breaks is one of the greatest moments of the series.
You see the desperation on the MC's face. One broken string makes the entire guitar to be out of tune. So if she'll start playing her solo, it'll sound awful and she'll make her band look very bad.
Then you see how her friend who's doing vocals notices what happened. She does everything she can to save her partner and tries to improvise to the best of her abilities to buy some time.
MC comes out of her shock and realizes that she needs to do SOMETHING right now.
She knows that she has only five strings and what's worse she can't start tuning her guitar right now. So she keeps thinking and comes out with a brilliant solution. If she can't tune her guitar, then she can play it in a way that doesn't require tuning. She takes some object and uses it to play her guitar using "slide" technique by ear.
That short episode tells A LOT about characters. They have a quick eye and wit, they have a great understanding of each other and when someone doesn't have much experience like MC, they still saving the day by trying their best being a part of the TEAM. And MC just shows that her experience wasn't useless and came in handy at the right moment.
I just want to shake a hand of someone who wrote that 🤝
