npub1395kxvsr6fu90v3eca6m4996y97eq9vtzln5pef32v6myek5gckspr28lk (npub1395…28lk) i mean, originally chats were DMs because AP is fast enough for it, and it worked blazingly fast especially when using WebSockets, but naturally presenting fedi threads as chats implicitly had consequence of things getting way too confusing since chats implementation lacked any sort of "classic" features like reply-to, visibility, mentions-in-body etc.

So my idea would be to have explicit "display thread as chat" option, much like we have linear display and tree display.
