When I first got diagnosed, after abnormal tilt table test, I started with fludrocortisone plus extra salt and water. Helpful, but seemed to wear off. My cardiologist suggested midodrine.
Effects are short lasting, 4 hours. I ramped up to 4x daily, every 3.5 to 4 hours. Few side effects for me. On it since 2003.
