I'm a lot more technical than my normies, but compared to my Nostr friends, my expertise doesn't move the needle. Because I've never watched anyone set up a relay step by step in layman's terms, I tried, but failed to set up a VPS. I know WHAT to do, just no clue how to actually do it. At least one huge influencer from X is now putting a spotlight on Nostr: Iancarroll (npub1xr7…2gqh) whom I follow closely on X. We could see huge influxes of new users from this alone. If we want new users to run relays, the process for doing so must be made easier. And it must be over clearnet, not Tor.
