given that I too am such an idealist, I want to agree. but so often I've seen the easy, popular choice being made: low friction, don't think critically and just accept whatever is offered and sheep along.

I don't think the desired / needed level of skepticism will grow beyond the already tuned-in ones, unless there's more "pain" involved for the average "nightly news viewer". when they get burned a bit, get a few "trusted" sources shown not to be worthy of that trust, then, perhaps.

but every force we can muster toward a blooming of such a better future is welcome!
