I don't think the #fediverse should play with Meta, because the objectives are different and mostly incompatible. Is not a relationship between equals.

There's also a technical issue that most people seem to miss: if they really have 100M active users, it could completely DoS small to medium instances that decided to play ball with them.

So even if you don't care about Meta's agenda, there's that.
