The misrepresentation of the idea that the virus would ‘get scared’ by lockdowns, social distancing, masks etc really undermines the argument.
It’s well established that viruses require a host to replicate so limiting the chances to acquire new hosts will limit the chances to replicate and limiting the number of contacts you have will limit the chances of catching it or spreading it.
I’m not advocating for or against the measures that were taken but arguments should be based on science and not anthropomorphisiation of a virus.
